I drew the Powerpuff Girls as teens, on the way home from the library.
I was a HUGE fan of the Powerpuff Girls ever since I saw the pilot on the What a Cartoon Show. I like seeing people take the girls and add their own personal style to it.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen the show, but I remember the girls having their own special powers. Blossom had ice breath and laser eyes, Bubbles had the ability to talk to animals, but Buttercup didn’t really have any special powers. I decided maybe hers matured later after the show ended. Since Blossom’s power is sort of elemental, and Bubbles isn’t physical at all, I figured Buttercup’s would be physical and a bit darker, like telekinesis. Something that would still give her a physical advantage in a fight. So that’s how she’s carrying her books…
